Established in 2009, UCP Roda untuk Kemanusiaan Indonesia (UCPRUK) as a non-profit and independent organization focuses on the fulfillment of the rights of persons with disabilities in Indonesia. UCPRUK has been able to serve around 15,000 beneficiaries with adaptive wheelchairs that give a big impact to their life. Working with more than 400 families with disabilities who are empowered through the 25 family support groups in 4 districts (Kabupaten) in Central Java and East Java, Indonesia and 10 wheelchair repair centers in DI Yogyakarta and Central Java. UCPRUK is also working with 3 local village communities, involving people with disabilities, to do the forest plant breeding program with 45,000 plants in Kediri (East Java) and Bogor (West Java) as part of preventing the environmental impact of airport and highways construction in Kediri and Bogor areas. UCPRUK works in partnerships with the local governments, DPOs (PPDI, HWDI, others), local communities and other partners.
